Our Client:
Our client is a leader in the global chemical industry, they strive every day to be the safest, best operated, and most valued company in the industry. They are actively looking for a Business Analyst to join their team in Hong Kong.
The Responsibilities:
* Provides performance reporting and analysis, including budget, actual, and forecast
* Develop business analyzes of olefins and polyolefins, including recycled plastics
* Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the BAP sales organization on business trends and activities in Asia. The analysis includes macroeconomics and government policies, and targeted industry moves
* Collaborate with China Business Services team to update China polyolefin supply/demand and industry on a regular basis and provide industry cost benchmark analysis. Provide analytical support to BAP and its SP&T organization on business opportunity development as required
* Provides operational analysis of selected joint ventures to assist the management in decision making
* Provides business analysis of business initiatives in Asia and compares the olefin and polyolefin markets
* Develop and optimize the sourcing pricing process to move to customer, marketing, and supply chain management
* Digital transformation support and data management programs
The Requirements:
* 8 years or more of Chemical or related industry experience with 5 years of Sales, Planning, Evaluation, or Business Analyses experience
* Bachelor's Degree in either a Technical or Business field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
* Solid technical & professional knowledge in Chemical Industry
* Interpersonal skills required to work with senior management and to operate effectively as a business team member
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
* Advanced PC skills, including spreadsheets, Power BI, database, graphics, statistical forecasting, and modelling
* Relocation packages can be discussed for the right individual
