Job Description
Our Client:
Our client is a rapidly expanding their group of companies with an interest in Engineering, Construction, Telecommunications, and Investments. Their principal business is in high-tech factory engineering, and have since extended their expertise into luxury hotels and commercial properties. They are currently looking to hire a Safety Coordinator to join the WSH team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
* Identify and assess foreseeable risk arising from workplace/ process
* Conduct routine check on general safety practice and propose corrective measures and action
* Make recommendation to team lead or in charge of workplace reasonably practicable measures to minimize/ control risk
* Assist team lead towards development, review, maintenance, and implementation of EHS management system
* Implementation of safe work procedures and measures
* Investigate incidents/accidents occurred, advise on remedial measures to prevent recurrence
* Assist in inspection and review of all project site activities and operation, alert section head on any activity/ equipment/ machinery/ process used that could expose any person to injury and recommend appropriate corrective measures
* Work together with relevant authorities on health and safety matters, review and revise all risk assessment to ensure compliance
* Ensure effectiveness, adequacy and readiness of fire protection system and emergency response team management system
* Promote safe and healthy working conditions through activities (such as: awareness campaigns, education, competition, drills, or training)
* Other ad hoc task assigned by superior
The Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in Workplace/ Safety/ Health or other relevant discipline
* Minimum 2 years of related experience in local Construction Engineering Industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively
* Able to work independently in stressful environment
